This is a self-guided standard tour of picturesque spots in Kyushu for nature lovers! The tour starts from Fukuoka, one of the best gourmet cities in Japan and visiting tranquil Takachiho Gorge and experience Dolphin watching cruise in Amakusa in Kumamoto Prefecture.


Day 1 Fukuoka

Arrive at Fukuoka airport or JR Hakata station.

Fukuoka is a largest city in Kyushu and an arrival point for most visitors to Kyushu. Fukuoka often called one of the best gourmet cities in Japan. So don’t forget to try some of the local foods while you are in Fukuoka!

Day 2 Fukuoka - Takachiho

After check out Hotel, make your own way to Hakata Bus Terminal

10:00 Depart from Hakata Bus Terminal
13:35 Arrive at Takachiho Bus Center by Highway Bus, using SUNQ Pass

After check in your baggage at Hotel, enjoy exploring Takachiho Gorge on foot and by rental boat!

*The rental boat operation is subject to water level of the river and other conditions.

After dinner, enjoy Takachiho Kagura Dance at Kagura Theatre in Takachiho Shrine (Admission fee 700 yen per person)

Day 3 Takachiho - Kumamoto

Kumamoto Prefecture is located along the west coast of Kyushu. It’s less than 40mins away by Shinkansen train from Hakata (Fukuoka) station. Kumamoto is blessed with magnificent and abundant nature and its famous for Mt Aso which is an active volcano with one of the world's largest calderas. The city's most famous landmark is Kumamoto Castle and it’s considered one of the three premier castles in Japan, along with Himeji Castle and Matsumoto Castle.

Day 4 Kumamoto - Amakusa

After Hotel check out, make your own way to Kumamoto Kotsu Centre

10:00 Depart from Kumamoto Kotsu Centre
11:27 Arrive at Maejima in Kami-Amakusa area by Bus, using SUNQ Pass

Baggage will be kept in the cruise company office

13:00 – 15:00 Dolphin Watching Cruise

After the cruising, a complimentary transfer to the hotel will be arranged

Enjoy beautiful Sunset, Amakusa’s seafood dinner and Matsushima onsen (Hot Spring) at the hotel
